Hiking

If during your Crest weekend you’d like to get out in “God’s Country” then this is for you. Pinecrest Lake in November is breath-taking. From the snow on the mountain peaks to the fresh animal tracks on the trail, this is a time you will not want to leave your camera behind. The four mile hike around the lake will take approximately two hours to complete. You will carpool to the large parking lot facing the lake and then begin the hike. The trailhead begins at the far west side of PineCrest Lake by the marina and ends on the southeast side of the lake. At the halfway point, you’ll stop to rest and have some time to spend with the Lord in the middle of His creation. From there you’ll finish the hike and carpool back to Jenness in time for dinner.

TEMS RECOMMENDED: Bible, journal, pen, camera

APPROPRIATE CLOTHING: Shorts/sweats (no restrictive pants), t-shirt, light sweater, fleece, or jacket (depending on the weather). Think layers.

Golf

We are excited to offer you a chance to golf in the cool of November at the beautiful Mountain Springs Golf Club in Sonora. It’s only a twenty five minute drive from Jenness, and Mountain Springs is a gorgeous 18 hole championship course with elevated tees and hilly terrain. This Crest activity will cost $43 per player (includes cart & range balls) and space is limited with a maximum of thirty five men. It’s first come first serve for this trip and play will occur rain or shine. All golf bags will need to be brought from cabins Saturday morning and all registered golfers will be provided with instructions to and from Jenness. All players must arrive at the golf course by 12:15PM for a shotgun start. All golfers should leave no later than 5:15PM to arrive back at Jenness in time for dinner. This is not a tournament - just a chance to get out and play some golf and enjoy time with other men of God.

ITEMS NEEDED: Golf clubs, golf shoes, collared shirt I

TEMS RECOMMENDED: Spending $ for food/drinks, sunscreen, light jacket

No matter if you’re a seasoned pro, or never dropped a line, fishing at Pinecrest Lake is something everyone should experience. Whether you go by yourself, with friends or family, this will be a great time at the lake fishing for classic Rainbow Trout. For true beginners, you will have the opportunity to learn how the big ones are caught. This is an affordable and relaxing activity to add to your life changing Crest experience.

Nothing says hanging out with the boys quite like a fat welt or the sting from a paintball! If you’re looking for some good old-fashion paintball fun then this Crest activity has your name all over it. For $25 a round (each round is one hour) every man will receive a Tippman 98 semi automatic gun with 200 rounds of ammunition. Each round is played right there in the woods of Jenness Park and will be watched over by official paintball referees. You can play as many rounds as you want to pay for (time permitting) and every player must sign a waiver before they lock and load.
